What I Wore: Shades of Gray

(what i wore: skinny jeans – banana republic, Ro’s oxford – polo, booties – vince camuto)
I find it difficult to be adventurous with jeans. I want to be more so, but by the time Friday rolls around, I’m usually feeling lazy and restless. I know this look isn’t quite bold but it was comfortable and understated. In the fall/winter, I tend to borrow from husband’s closet more than usual…

A Spooky Little Girl like You

Pinned Image

Halloween is one of my all-time favorite occasions. I LOVE to dress up in costume. I’m the kind of girl that wears wigs to a concert and noodles, so you can imagine…Luckily, my new husband shares my affinity for playing dress-up and allows himself to be “convinced” to participate.
At our rehearsal dinner, my mom made an extremely lovely video montage of us and we were dressed up in costume in so many of the pictures.
I began to embrace it as our equity. Here are some costumes from years past.

2008 Marlboro Man & Hula Girl

2009 Cavepeople

2010 Little Red & the Big Bad Wolf

This year we are being Zorro & some version of CZJ from Mask of Zorro. What about you?

What I Wore: Clown Pants

(what i wore: pants – riffraff via cheap thrills, flats – gap, shirt – walmart – jacket – tj maxx, scarf – forever21)

Some days you just feel like wearing something that could pass as pajamas but is still appropriate for work. Even someone who adores clothes and the process of dressing needs to take a break once and a while. I feel that everyone should have an outfit that is extremely comfortable but still chic. This is my attempt at such.

What I Wore: Socks with Sandals

(what i wore: sweater dress – bcbg from daisy exchange, socks – forever21, heels – nine west, jacket – tj maxx, necklace – dillards)
How do you feel about the socks with sandals trend? I’ve discussed it before and while I don’t think I’m ready to try anything wild (at least at work) I’m really into it as a means of transitional dressing. I’ve always had trouble transitioning to cold weather. Fall is definitely here and you know what that means…

Kim K, Please Go Away

Personal Rant: Is anyone else just so increasingly and abundantly sick of her? I mean, how many times can they play her freaking wedding? I’ve had to avoid E! for weeks in order to miss seeing her all the freaking time. Does she ever have any personal time when the cameras aren’t around (save the 3 hours (estimate) in the morning when she’s being put together). Seriously, what is so pleasant and fantastic about her and her family that the people of America (neigh, the world!) cannot get enough? I’m really not trying to be hateful. I’m just exasperated with seeing her on all of my favorite gossip sites and EVERYWHERE.
Doesn’t this hat just piss you off?

I was inspired by this ever-so-polite post by the fuggirls.

What I Saw: 60s Chic

I have a deep affinity/admiration for Natalia Vodianova. Like to the point where I was so sad for her when I heard she was divorcing her aristocrat husband with whom she has three kids. Aside from her personal life, I always enjoy seeing her editorials. She’s undeniably lovely in this 60s-chic photo shoot.
