IMG_8624I got navy tights. It’s about time. I feel like they’ve been missing from my wardrobe for a lifetime. Navy feels very fresh this season, don’t you think? Shout out to Ms. Darcy from Hello Luvvy for taking these pictures; she also posted this lovely recap of our (what is becoming a monthly) collaboration. Stay tuned for another glittering (hint!) project!

What I Wore: Weekend Wedding

IMG_7171

what I wore: dress – gracia c/o plato’s closet, heels – bcbg, coat – marvin richards (my mother in law gave me this!)
This past weekend, we went South for the wedding of one of Ro’s childhood friends. It was a  lovely wedding complete with so many gorgeous flowers that I was tempted to break in later and steal them all. This Gracia dress (which normally costs $120+) was a gift from Plato’s Closet for my feature on them for NWAFW :). Love.

What I Wore: Mohair & a Bowtie

what I wore: dress – thrifted miss dorby (find on ebay), mohair sweater via cheap thrills, bowtie – target, heels – forever21

When I mix patterns, (or prints or fabrics or colors) I try to lean towards whimsical, rather than take my outfit (or myself) too seriously. I love to have fun with my clothes/accessories but when taking a “risk”, I find it’s best to be light-hearted.

What I Wore: A Whole Lot of Accessories

what I wore: jeans – blank, sweater – vintage thrifted, boots – anne michelle, blazer – margaret godfrey (find on ebay), b pin/star necklace/chain – mae’s, lightning pin – cheap thrills, sapphire ring/bracelet/coin ring – vintage (gifts), evil eye bracelet (house of harlow) earrings (kenneth jay lane) – charm and chain, nails – charlotte russe
I coerced my dear mother into snapping a few shots.

What I Wore to a Wedding

what I wore: dress – bisou bisou (thrifted), pony hair pumps – tuesday morning, earrings – vintage from mae’s, handle-clutch – in retrospect

Last weekend, we attended the post-wedding party of some friends. The soiree was held on the top floor of the Peabody hotel in Little Rock (the view!). I chose a midnight blue velvet Bisou Bisou number and I loved the effect, velvet makes it appropriate for Fall/Winter but the slinky factor makes it a fun party dress.
