New Lonny is out! Ahhh…just in time for me to decorate my house! The move-in has been pushed back because my landlord has offered to paint the whole house. I readily agreed. It NEEDED IT. Some inspiration from Lonny a la Elements of Style:

It’s a new week. I’m having trouble letting go of the weekend. I had too much sun & too much food and I’m paying for it today. This week it’s still so hot and we’ve got to spend most of it moving.

The week is half over! Thank goodness…I hate to wish away summer days that are so fleeting, but sometimes RuPaul comes to visit and the weeks just draaag. That’s a little cubicle humor for you. And now…some cupcake porn a la Bliss Cupcakes right here in Fayetteville.

Violet is such a lovely hue and it doesn’t get the credit it deserves. It’s not a shade that depends on a season. In the summer it looks glamorous with crisp whites or soft and serene when mixed with taupe. In the winter, it brightens a room and can feel romantic when paired with smoky gray or dark plum. The color of grapes, lilacs, lavender, amethyst and of course violets…it’s a very beautiful anecdote when feeling blue.
I’m dying for the peep-toe platforms.

I hadn’t shared that I met Isaiah Mustafa, the dashing spokesman for Old Spice. He came to my office and we got a lil’ photo opp. Very nice!
I have to brag. I’m feeling like a proud mother hen today. Two of my best gal-pals are taking the bar tomorrow. One of my friends just got the job she’s been holding out for for six months, another friend finally found work in the industry she wants to be in. One of our other friends works weekends just to do what she loves. They are all beautiful and talented and have sweet, loving hearts. It’s such a blissful thing to see the people you love succeed.
