Birthday!

Tomorrow is my brand new hubby’s birthday. We took the day off to celebrate (as if we really needed an occasion). Isn’t it so much fun to make merry and be carefree and just bask in happiness? Yeah the answer is yes.
I hope you’re celebrating something, anything this weekend!

The Great White (Blouse)

Pinned Image

One of the undeniable staples of a woman’s wardrobe is the white oxford. It’s a classic must-have and can be worn in an infinite amount of ways. I realized yesterday that I have 6…oops I don’t feel guilty.

What I Saw: 60s Chic

I have a deep affinity/admiration for Natalia Vodianova. Like to the point where I was so sad for her when I heard she was divorcing her aristocrat husband with whom she has three kids. Aside from her personal life, I always enjoy seeing her editorials. She’s undeniably lovely in this 60s-chic photo shoot.

Monochrome

Pinned Image

Isn’t monochrome the tops? I find it easiest to do with black or white but I love it no matter the color – especially brights. It’s sleek, slimming and oh-so-on-trend.

What I Wore: The Best Sweater

(what i wore: sweater – vintage from potter’s house, shift – banana republic, croc booties – gianni bini, earrings – forever21, rings – forever21 and vintage)

This vintage sweater, complete with sparkles and shoulder pads was $1.50 at a slightly scary little thrift store called Potter’s house. I’m obsessed with it. It’s a delightful color and goes with plenty, plus I get a strange and heady high from this good a bargain.

Honeymoon Edition: Roma

Rome was our last destination and I must admit we were really tired by the time we arrived. But, we couldn’t go to Italy without experiencing some history! Above we are on the train from Naples to Rome.

Sightseeing around the city

A hilarious oops

Ro was the tallest man for miles until we met a couple from Holland. The guy was easily 7’1″
I gained 7lbs in pizza ALONE

Below in Campo di Fiori, which is a great place for nightlife and used to be a spot for beheadings!
I can’t believe it’s over! Definitely the trip of a lifetime!

(WHAT I WORE: red/black dress – maude shoppe, sandals – impressions, black front snap bra – vintage, just married necklace – kate spade / blue dress – vintage, sneakers – converse/ white tank – old navy, skirt – american apparel/ jeans – seven, linen button down borrowed from ro – banana republic, sunglasses – vintage ray ban)

MUCH ADO ABOUT EVERYTHING

I’m finally back to posting after the wedding/honeymoon extravaganza! I wanted to share a few pictures and will hopefully have much more soon!
