I think that jewelry has a higher power. Whether it’s because of the story behind it, where you were when you found it, who gave it to you or how it makes you feel when you wear it. Occasionally, I like to make an outfit all about the accessories.

I just came across this adorable Etsy shop called Silly Buddy. They make custom bow tie collars, regular collars and leashes. I don’t know if I can make it through the day without purchasing one for these two.

Friday I felt very patriotic. I love a good red lip. I’ve found that the best way to perfect it for someone like me – who gets it all over her teeth – is to do a base coat of a longwear. I’ve had this dress for almost four years and I’m still obsessed with it. It’s basically a sack, which is fabulous. It can be worn as is with towering heels and low-maintenance hair for a minimal look, which is what I did today. Or it can be belted and will morph into whatever you want.

I found these high waist navy sailor pants last week at TJ Maxx and I absolutely adore them. They are the perfect length to wear/disguise towering platforms and elongate the leg.
