What I Wore: Red & Gold (+ enchiladas)

what I wore: skirt – esque, belt/blouse – vintage via cheap thrills, earrings – charm & chain, ring/bangle – mom’s, bangle – house of harlow, sandals – lovely people, necklaces – vintage via mae’s

Sometimes an outfit centers around earrings or shoes or any accessory. This one centered around this amazing belt.
Also I made chicken enchiladas last night and they were super easy and very yummy. I used this recipe and added black beans, salsa & cilantro.

What I Wore: Big Blue

what I wore: shift – bonnie blair via grey dog, heels – quipid, earrings – boutique in SF
This shift is actually the top of some kind of pant suit. I’ve never seen the pants but you can only imagine. It’s a really fun piece because it can be worn loose and flowing or belted.

What I Wore: Pattern Play

what I wore: trousers – tommy hilfiger, top – fun 2 fun, heels/earrings – forever21

Last week I experimented with dots and stripes. I’m not sure I will wear it again but it was fun to try.

From the Weekend

A Tracy Reese jumpsuit I picked up at Cheap Thrills

A pre-party in Pine Bluff (wearing vintage Laura Ashley from Grey Dog)

The wedding (I wore vintage & earrings by Kenneth Jay Lane)

What I Wore: Rainbow Bright

what I wore: dress – vintage via cheap thrills, heels – madden girl, belt – vintage via grey dog, earrings – kate spade
I got a little bit of sun this weekend, so it was the perfect time to wear this summery, colorful dress.

From the Weekend

Beaver Lake

Long weekends are always wonderful. We went to the lake, out to dinner, to the pool and farmer’s market. It finally feels like summer!

What I Wore: Pretty in Plaid

what I wore: dress – vintage penny rosenfeld via cheap thrills (seen here), heels – jessica simpson, cateye sunnies – asos

This is one of my favorite dresses. I had a moment when I spotted it, like it had to come home with me no matter the price tag. I love the color, the silhouette, the waist-cinch, the length, neckline, skirt. I mean….I love it. I haven’t worn it since last summer and I’m so happy to see it/wear it again. I think it’s really important for those of us who love clothes to always be on the lookout for items that make us feel more like ourselves.

What I Wore: Gold Lamé

what I wore: dress – anthony marc (thrifted), belt & necklace – vintage, heels – nine west, earrings – kate spade

I love love love this gold lamé dress. It sparkles in the sunlight!

What I Want: High Tops

Ever since I saw Kate Bosworth wearing this I have wanted wedged sneakers. I’m not exactly in the financial place to splurge on Isabel Marant, so I’m weighing the other options. I’ve always loved wearing comfortable kicks but at under 5’3″ I don’t like to sacrifice the height. These would provide the perfect marriage of comfort and fashion! I found some fun options on ebay as well.
