From Russia with Love

Black lace, expertly placed skin, ruffles and sparkles. I’m entranced by this voluptuous editorial.

Looking Forward to Fall

Ok. Officially. It is too hot. I’ve given up hope that it will ever cool down. I’m thinking we will have to bring sweats and leggings to Italy where the high is a balmy 82 and the low is a frigid 60. If fall ever comes, here are a few things I look forward to wearing.

What I Wore: Black Basics

(what i wore: sheath – kensie, heels – baker’s, earrings – a gift from my brother from guadalajara, mx)
I’ve had this dress for almost four years and I’m still obsessed with it. It’s basically a sack, which is fabulous. It can be worn as is with towering heels and low-maintenance hair for a minimal look, which is what I did today. Or it can be belted and will morph into whatever you want.

Fall Shoe Lusting

This fall I’m going to be all about loafers and platforms. And I have a penchant for blues if you couldn’t tell…

What I Wore: In the Navy

(what i wore: trousers – ralph lauren, tank – bcbg, jewels – vintage, F21, banana republic, unseen heels – steve madden)
I found these high waist navy sailor pants last week at TJ Maxx and I absolutely adore them. They are the perfect length to wear/disguise towering platforms and elongate the leg.

What I Wore: White on White

(what i wore: sheath – banana republic, blazer – vintage, stripper heels – quipid, rings – forever21, earrings – banana)
Feeling bridal, as usual, I paired an off white sheath with a cream blazer and my crocodile stripper stilletos.

Julia Stegner is as beautiful as ever in this editorial from Harper’s Bazaar 2008. I love the juxtaposition of the black & white against the desert. Enjoy!
