What I Wore: Pleats/Bow/Blazer

what I wore: dress – grey dog, blazer – banana republic, heels – kelsi dagger
I found this great dress at Grey Dog the other day. I always find beautiful things there and Molly has constant loveliness on her sale rack. It’s hard to resist pleats & bows in the same frock!

What I Wore: Cream Puff

what I wore: dress – impressions (seen here), blazer – antonio melani, heels – kelsi dagger, earrings – vintage from grey dog, bracelet – house of harlow (similar)
This is a dress for all seasons. In August, I wore it to my post-wedding brunch. In December, I wore it with black tights. I love shape, the color and of course the bow.  Paired with a muted plaid blazer and my new favorite earrings, I thought it proved its versatility.

What I Wore: Bringing it Black

what I wore: dress – vintage from cheap thrills, heels – bcbg, watch – forever 21

This is one of my favorite dresses. It has a great neckline and the lace stripes are see-through so it can be worn as an upscale swim cover up.

Stylish Pairs

I love to see a good looking couple. I always tell the other half of my couple that we need to look like we are going to the same place. That doesn’t mean we must coordinate or even compliment. It’s just a succinct way to remember if we’re going to a cocktail party, I shouldn’t look like I’m headed to the opera and he shouldn’t look like he’s going to a baseball game. We’re going to the same place, no matter where that is. Here are some good examples from my pinterest board of the same name.

Olivia Palermo and her beau seem to do an exemplary job of this…

And here’s one me & the other member of my stylish pair

What I Wore: Tunic

what I wore: tunic – thrifted, cropped pants – asos, heels – banana republic, collar – (also seen here) a gift from cheap thrills, earrings – mom’s

The colors in this tunic were really fun. It was also comfortable and billowy which made it a really relaxed, easy outfit.

What I Wore: Color POP

what I wore: dress & heels – tj maxx, sweater – express, earrings – vintage from mae’s,

Sometimes it’s fun to have one pop of color and others I just want a color explosion. Case in point, this dress.

What I Wore: Spring Layers

what I wore: jacket – vintage after six, blouse – vintage, collar – urban outfitters, skirt – kimichi blue, platforms – bcbg
I like outfits like these because they’re fun but also professional. I think I’m going to get a lot of wear out of this kimichi blue skirt I picked up at (where else?) cheap thrills!

What I Wore: Dots

what I wore: dress – vintage from grey dog, belt – maude shoppe, flats – jeffrey campbell via ebay, sunnies – asos (similar), necklace – vintage via mae’s

I absolutely love polka dots. They are so fun & girly but also modern and playful as well as classic. Basically, all the things I want to be!

What I Wore: Chevron

what I wore: dress – ann taylor, flats – go jane, bracelet – dannijo, sunglasses – asos

I love chevron. It feels really funky, I also love these comfortable green flats from go jane. Sometimes when I wear a shorter hemline to the office, I try to tone it down with flats so it’s not soooo much leg.
