I find it difficult to be adventurous with jeans. I want to be more so, but by the time Friday rolls around, I’m usually feeling lazy and restless. I know this look isn’t quite bold but it was comfortable and understated. In the fall/winter, I tend to borrow from husband’s closet more than usual…
Some days you just feel like wearing something that could pass as pajamas but is still appropriate for work. Even someone who adores clothes and the process of dressing needs to take a break once and a while. I feel that everyone should have an outfit that is extremely comfortable but still chic. This is my attempt at such.

How do you feel about the socks with sandals trend? I’ve discussed it before and while I don’t think I’m ready to try anything wild (at least at work) I’m really into it as a means of transitional dressing. I’ve always had trouble transitioning to cold weather. Fall is definitely here and you know what that means…
WINTER IS COMING…(off subject Game of Thrones reference)
I have a deep affinity/admiration for Natalia Vodianova. Like to the point where I was so sad for her when I heard she was divorcing her aristocrat husband with whom she has three kids. Aside from her personal life, I always enjoy seeing her editorials. She’s undeniably lovely in this 60s-chic photo shoot.

Casual Fridays cause a slump in my creativity. There is often something freeing (for me) in knowing you must look proper for the office. It sets me exploring different directions for outfits to take. Most Fridays, I try to be comfortable. It’s ok to take a day off, right?
(what i wore: suit – vintage from cheap thrills, heels – charles david, earrings – mae’s emporium, pinky ring – forever21)

I realize that this suit looks quite blue in pictures but I assure you, it was very purple. And delicious. It was $15 at cheap thrills and I absolutely fell in love. Obviously, the jacket and skirt can be worn separately or together. I paired with straight-as-I-can-get hair and black strappy sandals.
