What I Wore: 70’s Inspired
(what i wore: trousers – new york & co, blouse – vintage from potter’s house, belt – vintage from the grey dog, rings – forever21, earrings – a birthday gift from my soon to be husband)
Yesterday I wore these cream high waist pants with an ivory blouse. I love this look because it’s sophisticated but still shows off curves.

Big Day Beauty
I hadn’t thought much about it until recently, but how do I want my makeup for the wedding? I want to look like myself – just enhanced but I also want to look fab in pictures. Do you go for understated or statement? I need your help, sweet readers and friends! I won’t share my dress but I will say that it’s white, it’s not strapless and I’m wearing flowers in my hair with minimal jewelry and the hair back. Let me know what you think is most appropriate! Here I am as a point of reference ;)
1. This first picture below is the look I’m leaning toward: defined brows, winged liner, pretty lashes and a peach lip. What do you think? Do you like the slight cat eye?
2. More shadow, less lip…
3. You could go a little farther with the eyeliner for this…
4. Golder shadow and a paler lip…
5. More shadow, more makeup. I love this look but is it overly sexy?
6. A lot more shadow and liner – verging on costume vs wedding…
7. Lots of lip, lots of liner, less of everything else
8. More shadow, less liner…
9. Less liner, more lip…
10. Very Natural…

What I Wore: Old Faves
What I Wore: Bun + Shift
(what i wore: shift – asos, heels – bcbg, – cuff/ring/earrings – unknown, ha)
I loved the outfit I wore yesterday. I really felt feminine and ladylike. This is the kind of look I prefer: a shift, a huge bun, strappy shoes. I was extremely proud of my bun. Would you believe I didn’t know how to tease it this time last year? I have to share that I sent a pic of my hair to Erika Bearman (OscarPRGirl) and she tweeted back “it’s major” totally made my day…
What I Wore: A Charming Mix
(what i wore: blouse – calvin klein, collar – urban outfitters, pants – old navy, platforms – bcbg, belt – vintage)
Yesterday I wore one of my favorite accessories: a lace collar necklace. I love, love, love the idea of detachable collars but find them hard to wear in reality. Even though they are so fun! Paired with a studded belt, I thought the look turned out nice.

Celebrity Judgement: Teen Choice Awards
BAD
Is it just me or does Fergie keep looking worse? Not a fan of the roots, kinda like the dress but cannot get over how harsh her eyebrow arch is!

I typically think Emma Stone looks great. Here she looks incredibly odd. That’s really all I can say. Like I can’t imagine the same person picking out that gorgeous peach sheath for the golden globes and then choosing this.

Cameron Diaz: Will she ever age? Or fatten?

Various Kardashians: THEY’RE ALL SO FREAKING MADE UP! It seriously bothers me. Khloe looks Amazonian. Kendall’s hair is terrifying. Kim looks like she bought her dress at BeBe. Kourtney looks mehhh. Kylie looks fairly cute. Ugh I’m exhausted….

GOOD
Well done Rachel Bilson & Nina Dobrev. Both look happy, adorable and are adhering to my rule of “Pick One: boobs, back or legs”. I can’t stop drooling over Bilson’s booties.

UGLY
I never want to make people feel bad about their weight. With that said, when you are a celebrity you must dress to be captured on film. Also, if your legs are less than stellar – don’t wear a super short dress.
Looking WAY BIGGER than you are offenders: Demi Lovato and Zooey Deschanel.

What I Wore: Golden Girl
What I Wore: Lucky Charms
(what i wore: top – target, trousers – new york & co, bangle & shorter necklace – my grandma’s, cuff/long necklace/earrings/2 rings – forever21, first finger ring – banana republic, charm bracelet – a gift given me when I was very small)
I think that jewelry has a higher power. Whether it’s because of the story behind it, where you were when you found it, who gave it to you or how it makes you feel when you wear it. Occasionally, I like to make an outfit all about the accessories.
Silly Buddy
I just came across this adorable Etsy shop called Silly Buddy. They make custom bow tie collars, regular collars and leashes. I don’t know if I can make it through the day without purchasing one for these two.
Which one is your fave?
