Maria Dueñas Jacobs Roman Wedding

Maria Dueñas Jacobs
Maria Dueñas Jacobs is the accessories editor at Glamour Magazine. She was featured on Into the Gloss this week and I was immediately drawn to her natural look and easy beauty routine. A quick google took me to her wedding which was featured on Martha Stewart’s website. So, duh, I had to share.

What I Wore: Mellow Yellow

(What I Wore: blouse – cheap thrills, pants – old navy, platforms – bcbg girls, watch – bcbg, left hand ring – cheap thrills, right hand rings l to r – walmart/banana republic/vintage, bracelets – house of harlow from charm & chain/vintage/New Orleans flea market, necklaces – hook: kenneth jay lane, fish locket: tuleste market from charm & chain, earrings – gift from Ro: Kenneth Jay Lane via charm & chain)
Yesterday was one of those days where I felt like piling on all the jewelry I own. My beloved engagement ring is at the fabulous Lauray’s in Hot Springs, AR having it’s matching band created (an omg I’m getting married moment). Of course I had to pick up a bauble to replace it for the time being and decided to play with all the gold pieces I have been neglecting in favor of the simplicity of my diamond.
I also opted to pile my hair up. The big bun that I love is simple to do (instructions here) but the topknot is almost too easy. And I’m obsessed with these pants. I have them in yellow, white, khaki and brown; they are best when paired with a blousy top. They make your legs look ridiculously long because they’re so wide-leg and cover your shoes.

Beach Baby

My model-muse, Lara Stone, channels Brigitte Bardot and heads to the beach. What’s not to love – aside from the extreme jealousy of her gorgeous figure?

That’s Amore

My love affair with Italy continues with this editorial featuring the ever-stunning Natalia Vodianova in Venice.

I love the 1940s glamour of this editorial. I’m a big fan of Alexander Skarsgård and an even bigger fan of Lara Stone. It’s almost hard to see Frida when she’s in the same frame.

Spellbound – Photographer Peter Lindbergh and fashion editor Grace Coddington for Vogue US’ July issue. “Featuring a love triangle with Lara Stone, Frida Gustavsson and actor Alexander Skarsgård–leading lady Lara plays femme fatale to Skarsgård’s quiet, cosmopolitan reserve. While Frida Gustavsson uses her girlish charm as the other woman. Grace Coddington’s glamorous picks from labels such as Marc Jacobs, Balenciaga and Miu Miu conjure dangerous characters in a world of 1940s film noir elegance.” via TFS

Idyllic

I love it when editorials tell a fun story with the setting as well as the fashion. This one looks like a couple played dress-up all weekend and took pictures in and around their home. Sounds like a fun weekend to me!
I’m also loving the model’s name: Millicent.

Atlantic-Pacific

The super-stylish Blair Eadie lives in San Francisco and blogs at Atlantic-Pacific. She’s almost always wearing sunglasses and has mastered layering and accessorizing. I love to see what she puts together! She was also featured on the (brand new) glitter guide website today.
