It’s beautiful outside and I’m salivating over summer sandals, flat and tall…shoes are the only thing you don’t grow out of, after all. Like my rhyme? You’ll like these shoes more.

I just saw this on the Huffington post. Apparently, Martha Stewart used to model (for Chanel no less!) and she is oh-so-cute!

Sienna Miller is one of my fashion icons. While I’m not sure why she’s back with Jude, (he cheated on you with the nanny, Sienna!!!) they do look good together. Everything about her look works, from the smokey eye to the sky-high heels.

“Put even the plainest woman in a fabulous piece of jewelry and unconsciously she will try to live up to it.” from Charm & Chain Blog
I loved this quote when I saw it! I immediately thought about making a list of jewelry essentials. Most women use jewelry to get dressed every morning, but I’m always surprised to hear someone say “I don’t think I could pull that off”. Yes you can! While I aspire to own some authentic baubles one day, I am currently enjoying costume jewelry. There are so many cool things…from vintage to forever21. Here are my must-haves.

I had too much fun this weekend and am now sleepy and not ready for the week. Hope you had a fun weekend!

I just popped by forever21.com and I think I must have all of these things.

Thoughts? This is a really good shipment!!!
Grand National, great discovery. Love this song, especially on this incessantly rainy Friday.
SNL can be so hit or miss but when it’s on…IT’S ON. I’m partial to the digital shorts, Bill Hader (esp Dateline), What Up With That? and anything with Justin Timberlake.

My mind is taking me to New Orleans today to fete with the festers at Jazzfest. Alas, I remain in Arkansas. In store for me this weekend? Cabin on the Buffalo river tonight and shrimp/crawfish boil tomorrow. So…I have to admit those are pretty good weekend plans.
I stumbled onto this photographer, Jose Villa’s blog today. Just look at this gorgeous “Honeymoon in New Orleans” – ahhh I die.

This is where I’ll actually be – Buffalo River
Fayetteville Farmer’s Market

PS: Here’s a peek at my fat little puppy. We caught her with her paws (literally) in the cookie jar, gorging on her cousin Dwight’s – the mastiff- food. Below is the aftermath.

Happy Friday!
OMG. The Fall 10 bridal shows have taken place and thanks to NYmag, they are very accessible. The great thing is, I have a girlfriend (McCall) who just got engaged, so I don’t have to feel quite as silly pouring over the details of wedding dress after dress…I cannot wait to see Monique Lhuillier but alas she has not shown yet. Here are my faves so far…
I loved the use of floral hair accessories in the Douglas Hannant show. The white makeup…not so much.

I always enjoy seeing the looks from Badgely Mischka, I especially love that they’re showing back!

Thoroughly loved Reem Acra.

Definitely my favorite…Oscar De La Renta tinged on the Spanish-Virgin-Mary-ish but a few of the dresses were SO FREAKING GORGEOUS! Loved a bunch of them – didn’t love the white hose though.

Junko Yoshioka was feminine and lovely

Always a favorite, Vera Wang was elegant but slightly safe.

Carolina Herrera didn’t blow my socks off. This was the only one I liked below.

So sweet and different from Jenny Packham

Loving from Elizabeth Fillmore but so wish I could see the backs!

Alright but didn’t quite captivate me (Click designer to see for yourself): Anne Bowen, Nicole Miller, St. Pucchi
