What I Wore: Lucky Charms

(what i wore: top – target, trousers – new york & co, bangle & shorter necklace – my grandma’s, cuff/long necklace/earrings/2 rings – forever21, first finger ring – banana republic, charm bracelet – a gift given me when I was very small)
I think that jewelry has a higher power. Whether it’s because of the story behind it, where you were when you found it, who gave it to you or how it makes you feel when you wear it. Occasionally, I like to make an outfit all about the accessories.

Silly Buddy

I just came across this adorable Etsy shop called Silly Buddy. They make custom bow tie collars, regular collars and leashes. I don’t know if I can make it through the day without purchasing one for these two.

Which one is your fave?

What I Wore: with a Red Lip

(what i wore: blouse – vintage, jeans – j crew, love knot brooch – vintage, earrings – a gift from Ro, heels – gianni bini, watch – bcbg)
Friday I felt very patriotic. I love a good red lip. I’ve found that the best way to perfect it for someone like me – who gets it all over her teeth – is to do a base coat of a longwear. I use Covergirl Outlast lipcolor in everreddy. I then line and top with Covergirl Lip Perfection in Flame. I hope you had a lovely weekend! I did…

Why Don’t We…

Take a jump outside the sartorial box and wear something that just really makes us happy.

Who knows, it could turn out like this, which I believe to be perfection.

What I Wore: Florals

(what i wore: dress – thrifted, espadrilles – quipid, ring – vintage, earrings – a gift from my brother)
Hello friends. Yesterday I wore a floral frock that I think cost me $2 at a thrift store. It was light and comfortable and I actually had some bees chase me around outside. PS: I bought some “Not your mother’s” sea salt spray and I am addicted.
I got this little wallet at Forever 21 and I use it all the time. It’s perfect for an evening bag.

What I Wore: Black & Blue

(what i wore: dress – thrifted, peep toe booties – forever21, sunnies that are both round & cateye – ebay)
Oh hello. I was feeling blue yesterday because I’ve given up hope of staying sweat-free on my wedding day. At least everyone will be dripping wet when it’s 105 degrees at 8pm. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best!!!
People might mistake my tears for sweat beads if I get a little emo (….I got a good man, anything could happen when someone tells me I get to keep him forevs). I hit a weight loss goal so the slightly gigantic hair is in honor of that. Or something. And yes. I am wearing sunglasses in the bathroom just because I wanted to show them off. I also couldn’t get anyone to go outside long enough to take a picture of me in a more sunglass-appropriate sitch.
It is THAT HOT.

What I Wore: Brights

(what i wore: top – tj maxx, pants – old navy, platforms – bcbg, jewelry – vintage & forever21)
Yesterday I wore a quite bright outfit but nothing could keep me cool. It’s getting harder and harder to find motivation to wear my hair down. You?

Looking Forward to Fall

Ok. Officially. It is too hot. I’ve given up hope that it will ever cool down. I’m thinking we will have to bring sweats and leggings to Italy where the high is a balmy 82 and the low is a frigid 60. If fall ever comes, here are a few things I look forward to wearing.

What I Wore: Black Basics

(what i wore: sheath – kensie, heels – baker’s, earrings – a gift from my brother from guadalajara, mx)
I’ve had this dress for almost four years and I’m still obsessed with it. It’s basically a sack, which is fabulous. It can be worn as is with towering heels and low-maintenance hair for a minimal look, which is what I did today. Or it can be belted and will morph into whatever you want.
