What I Wore: Black on Black

what I wore: dress – tj maxx, jacket – bcbg, heels – gianni bini, glasses – shop ultra, watch – bcbg, bangle – kate spade, earrings – forever 21

This outfit was a random idea I had before going to bed the night before. I thought – why don’t I tie a sash around the neck of a button down top or dress? So, I did and for once, it worked!

What I Wore: Pumped Up Kicks

what I wore: dress – vintage from grey dog (also seen here), shoes – go jane
So…I’ve been really into my new orange shoes from gojane. I love the idea of a girly dress and sneakers. There’s nothing more comfortable.

What I Wore: The Rhinestone Bowtie

what I wore: dress – forever 21, blazer – liz claiborne, platforms – jessica simpson, earrings – forever 21, rhinestone bowtie – vintage family heirloom, ring – kate spade
So I basically recreated my vday fuschia monochrome but changed it up with the shoes and the bows. I love this outfit.

What I Wore: Golden Girl

what I wore: dress – vintage from cheap thrills, belt – vintage from grey dog, earrings – kate spade, heels – vince camuto
This dress. Ahhh. It’s one of my favorite finds EVER. The brocade gold fabric is so luxurious. There is a little peter pan collar in the back that my go-go-gadget arms could not capture in photo. I’ve told you how into maxi dresses I’ve been and I wasn’t lying. I’ve worn several over the past few weeks. I also feel like vintage clothes are another art form.

What I Wore: Back Attack

what I wore: skirt – vintage from potter’s house, knit – dkny, heels – forever21, bracelets – family heirloom and evil eye from charm & chain, rings – all gifts, earrings & necklace – kate spade
I wore this semi-low cut knit backwards and loved the effect.

What I Wore: Fuchsia folie à deux

what I wore: blazer – liz claiborne petites, dress – forever21, heels – bcbg, skirt – max studio, sweater – thakoon for target, brooch/earrings – vintage, ring – kate spade
On Valentine’s day evening, I wore the monochrome fuchsia to dinner with my hubby. The next day, I was still in a pink state of mind but wanted to mix it up. So I pulled the bold blazer on over a black ensemble. I think I actually prefer the bold fuchsia look!

What I Wore: Winter (Black &)White

what I wore: blouse – vintage via potter’s house, skirt – vintage apertif via cheap thrills, coat – my grandmother’s (seen here), tights – hue, slip – vintage, blazer & platforms – forever21, earrings – vintage via mae’s, rings – right purchased on a trip to France & left – dillards
Ahh winter white. I thought of this outfit in my head and was pleasantly surprised when it came out just as good on my person. That does not always happen. More often than not, a collection of pieces looks far better in my mind’s eye than on my body. It’s always nice to prove yourself wrong. Anyway, I love wearing white. I think it looks good in the summer when you have a bit of a glow and it looks great in the winter because as pale as I may feel, I’m never as “white” as white. I think the black really makes it pop. On a personal note, my girlfriends and I went to see Bring It On: The Musical last night. I was completely floored! It was so good! I highly recommend it.
PS: I finally made an extra hole in the ankle strap of my platforms (with a large safety pin). It made all the difference and now I don’t feel like I will die in those shoes one day.

What I Wore: Tied Up & Blue

what I wore: skirt – old navy, chambray shirt – levi, leopard flats – gap, earrings – mae’s, bun – sock bun via
I love the look of a tied button-up and long skirt. As I said, I’ve been so into maxi for this exceptionally mild winter we’ve been enjoying. It’s a great way to get away with not wearing tights but not look too summery. It also disguises the fact that I’m super-comfy wearing flats!

What I Wore: A Favorite Dress

what I wore: dress – a favorite find from grey dog, tights – target, heels & earrings – forever 21
I was so excited to find this dress at Grey Dog. I know the feather earrings might be out, in fact I was never really into the trend but these work so perfectly with the colors, it was a must. I love this sweet dress so much for it’s versatility. I’ve already worn it with boots and knee-high socks, now with tights and heels and I know I’ll pull it out in warmer weather with a strappy sandal.
