In Lonny‘s first anniversary issue…umm I really can’t address anything but Celerie Kemble‘s jaw-dropping, to-die-for home/boudoir/view of Manhattan.

ahhhhh…sigh.

Mine eyes have seen the glory of a well-dressed man. This spin on the battle hymn of the republic keeps playing in my head. It’s so true. I think a lot of women might protest that they “don’t want a prissy guy”, or they are turned off by the idea of a beau that spends more than them on pants or accessories, they may even be fearful that a man’s pride in the way he looks could signify something effeminate.
Ladies, I dare to disagree. Think Justin Timberlake or Jude Law, think Robert Pattinson and Joshua Jackson, even call Dwayne Wade to mind. My bf calls Mr. Wade the best dressed man in sports. While there is a fine line between Chuck Bass’ ascots and a well-tailored three-piece suit…a guy who knows what fits, knows where to shop and (heaven-forbid) knows when he looks good is truly valuable. See these best dressed men galleries from Vogue, Esquire, GQ UK , GQ Men of Style and GQ’s most stylish.

I’m not just talking about formal-wear. I’m addressing the whole wardrobe. I always tell my boyfriend we need to “look like we’re going to the same place” and that doesn’t mean we need to match. This whole tirade actually started because I found some AMAZING online shops for men. I’ll go ahead and share those now…
Fine & Dandy has accessories and shoes of all kinds at phenomenal prices. (under $50 for all bowties and ties)

Bonobos has clothing and shoes, all available to be tailored and very affordable.

It’s Friday!! Kick up your heels or kick back and relax. I am definitely going to attempt to enjoy this (maybe) last weekend of temps above 80. A little sun, a little romance?

“i still find each day too short for all the thoughts i want to think, all the walks i want to take, all the books i want to read, and all the friends i want to see”

She makes it look so easy! I’m having some trouble transitioning from Summer to Autumn (as said here). I love boots and coats but am not ready for trousers! I’m also realizing my dress collection feels too summery to be worn with tights. But I’m inspired, nonetheless. I hope you are too. Still on the hunt for affordable over-the-knee boots.

I really find her so distasteful on The City. Her self-absorption is on a whole new level, but I have to believe she is playing a part for MTV. Either way, the girl knows how to dress and she ALWAYS looks totally put together, polished and all-around fantastic. Even I can admit that…

All of these gorgeous clothes are quite out of my price range but I love the textures and structures. Feminine silhouettes with structured shoulders and small details…sigh.

As someone who loves clothes, getting dressed and all-things-fashion…I still find myself confused as the colder weather moves in. I want my look to say “Fall” but I have trouble putting that look together. I tend to gravitate towards layers of black until I get my winter sea-legs, and really throughout the chilly months. You can’t go wrong with black and you can infuse the same outfit, time after time, with colorful shoes, scarves and jewels.
