winter is, err, coming
It’s November. And it’s starting to feel like it. Layers save the day, per usual. I had a few meetings in Bentonville and borrowed Elysian‘s alley to capture my ootd. Later, I walked into a gas station and a lovely gentleman with a tear tattoo on his face asked me if I was from LA because I looked “trendy”.

It’s a beautiful time of year here in NW Arkansas. I will be the first to admit that I’m not a huge fan of cold weather. Layers stress me out. I’m already a bag lady – add coats, scarves, gloves, socks – it’s too much!

COLLABO! Emily’s One Man Band
a lovely little lady named Emily asked me to work it in front of the camera for her rather wildy successful etsy shop. obviously, I obliged. We had a great afternoon full of fringe, sequins, denim and flying through the air with the greatest of ease.
Some of her stuff is recycled and some is upcycled. The amazing leather fringe necklace and fabulous bustiers are Emily’s handiwork.

Restless Peace
I love a good collaboration. When Ms. Darcy from Hello Luvvy asked if I would join her in the cemetery wearing florals, I didn’t hesitate to say “yes”! {Thanks Darcy & Luvvys!} When we met, the first thing we noticed was that we had both styled our vintage florals with a brooch at the collar.
It was a lovely, warm day. The cemetary was nothing resembling creepy and the geese followed us around expecting crumbs.

So I found this dress at the goodwill and I knew it would be much cooler if the rather dowdy and wrinkled slip were removed. I did just that, wore another shorter slip and voila!
