Supposedly we are supposed to stash all things white from our wardrobes after Monday (save white button-downs or creams). While I agree there is no place for a full bright-white ensemble in 20-degree temperatures, I disagree that after Monday all whites should be shucked, packed and put away. I think my distaste for this “rule” comes from living in New Orleans for four years. There the weather can change on a dime and no one would mock you for wearing a chic white dress in mid-October if it were 75 and sunny (which it often is). While I am excited for Autumn, Summer is my favorite season and I plan to hang on to my white pieces a little longer…

There was finally a slight chill in the air this morning when I left for work! So, I’m getting chills thinking about the delights of Autumn while trying to ignore the inevitable disappointments like earlier sunsets, frigid cold and…Winter.
