What I Wore: Friday Night in Black & White

what I wore: halter – vintage from grey dog, trousers – vintage tux pants from cheap thrills, earrings – vintage from mae’s, belt – target, platforms – bamboo, bracelet – express

On the weekends, I love to really play with what I wear and this was such a fun outfit. Pictured with my friend Leah, Ro and my mama.

What I Wore: Tropicana

what I wore: dress – grey dog, arm party – mae’s/vintage/dannijo/express, lips – covergirl outlast in everreddy & covergirl lip perfection in hot (seriously this requires no reapplication), belt/shoes – forever21

I first tried on this beauty at grey dog a few weeks ago, I tried to resist but soon $ was burning a hole in my pocket and forced me back in the shop. Now, I’m so glad I went. What would my wardrobe have been without this adorable tropicana confection? It’s a vacation in dress form.

What I Wore: Florals

what I wore: dress – tracy feith for target, necklace – forever21, heels – kelsi dagger, pashmina – italy
This dress can be worn like so with a low back or turned around an worn low cut in the front with an exposed zipper. It’s multifunctional!

The Best Skirt/Dress

what I wore (previously): skirt – esque, belt/blouse – vintage via cheap thrills, earrings – charm & chain, ring/bangle – mom’s, bangle – house of harlow, sandals – lovely people, necklaces – vintage via mae’s
There is a lovely local designer in NWA called Leslie Pennel, her line is esque. I was lucky enough to pick up the above (what I thought was a) skirt from her line at Cheap Thrills.

I loved it as a skirt and while I am typically good at seeing the many ways one item can be worn, it was lost on me. The designer was nice enough to enlighten me to it’s many uses, which I utilized at the beach. If nothing else, it’s a reminder that we can wear the things in our closets in so many different ways.

What I Wore: Red & Gold (+ enchiladas)

what I wore: skirt – esque, belt/blouse – vintage via cheap thrills, earrings – charm & chain, ring/bangle – mom’s, bangle – house of harlow, sandals – lovely people, necklaces – vintage via mae’s

Sometimes an outfit centers around earrings or shoes or any accessory. This one centered around this amazing belt.
Also I made chicken enchiladas last night and they were super easy and very yummy. I used this recipe and added black beans, salsa & cilantro.

What I Wore: Among Hydrangeas

what I wore: vintage dianne ricco for nieman marcus (also seen here), cream blazer – unnamed vintage, heels – bcbg, lips – covergirl lip perfection in siren

I love this dress. It’s flattering, it can be casual or dressy and it’s work appropriate, but still a little sexy. It’s also happy – there are literally giant hydrangeas on the fabric. Don’t you love it when you find a dress that is versatile, fun and also you?

What I Wore: Purple Please

what I wore: dress – vintage hal ferman, heels – target, earrings – vintage via mae’s

Color always helps lift my mood and I love this dress for its loose butfeminine shape. Also, how fun are these target heels I got for $7?
