What I Wore: White on White

(what i wore: sheath – banana republic, blazer – vintage, stripper heels – quipid, rings – forever21, earrings – banana)
Feeling bridal, as usual, I paired an off white sheath with a cream blazer and my crocodile stripper stilletos.

What I Wore: Transitional

(what i wore: glasses – shop ultra, tunic – forever21, jeans – levi, wedges – qupid)
Not sure why I’m wearing transitional outfits when it’s hot as an inferno outside. However, it’s very difficult to dress for being in air conditioning all day. Sometimes it feels so frigid inside, you’re uncomfortable wearing sleeveless. So, I wore this Friday and felt great all day inside my office. As soon as I stepped outside I thought I was going to stroke out. Nonetheless, I can’t wait to revisit it for fall.

What I Wore: Prim & Proper

(what i wore: dress – forever21, pumps – forever21, rings – forever21, necklace – mom’s, earrings – kate spade)
I didn’t realize until I began this post that everything I’m wearing (save the earrings/necklace) is from Forever. Either way, F21 is a great place to experiment without spending a lot of money. The earrings  were a gift from my dear friend who just started working for Kate Spade. Of course, the high bun is an old standby and I loved pairing a double finger ring with another single ring. Speaking of rings, Ro’s wedding ring came in yesterday. Sh*t is getting real! Can’t wait!

What I Wore: Neon Blooms

(what i wore: dress – the grey dog, heels – forever21)
As much as I love to accessorize, I’m also really excited when I find a dress that needs nothing else. This is one of those fun summery dresses that can be paired with tights when it gets chilly. Versatility people!

The Modern Fanny Pack

There are some things that I won’t do. There are less things that I won’t wear. A fanny pack is not one of those things. Those who know me well know that I’m unabashedly unafraid to bust them out at occasions other than a music festival or an amusement park. Some of the people dare to look down on this habit. I realize that not all fanny packs are cute or flattering, but some are! And I would like to share those with you now. Beware: some of them appear under the guise of “belt purse”. From the Weekend

It was quite an eventful weekend. We got a cake sample for our wedding cake and it tasted as good as it looks. .
A new and exciting sponsorship opportunity from BeBop Clothing. I got some goodies in on Friday and couldn’t wait to try them on – more to come!
Karaoke with Ro, my brother Hampton & his brother William. I couldn’t stop myself from singing “Alone” by Heart but regretted it later…
Ro’s mom came up bearing gifts! Including the below four poster bed frame for our room & a dining table. I’m obsessed.
Some sweet friends threw a stock the bar party for us and it was incredibly lovely. Here’s a picture with my mom. (dress – vintage from the grey dog)

Spoils from the stock the bar. Planning this wedding has certainly shown me how many people love us. I feel very special.

I hope you had a lovely weekend!

Red + White

I adore this combo (red & white). There are so many ways to pull it off and I am constantly drawn to the colors together.

What I Wore: Back in Black

(What I Wore: dress – olive and oak, belt – vintage, stripper heels – qupid, glasses – shop ultra, bracelets – shop ultra, forever21, charm & chain, earrings – charm & chain)
Black is really my favorite color to wear. Black and/or white actually. I love that you can accessorize with anything when dealing with a blank pallet. PS: I got the black beaded bracelets stuck on my upper arm – that was cute.

Shall we dine?

Mealtimes are my favorite times. It’s not just about eating – it’s mostly about conversation and wine and the art of a beautiful table – but it is also about eating… One of the things I aspire to create for my home is a welcoming/chic eating area.
