I may have mentioned my intense love/hate relationship with stores like Zara and H&M. While I love them dearly, I am prohibited from shopping them because of where I live (yes, Arkansas). Happily, I will be going to Dallas next weekend to visit my wonderful Aunt Ann. She is always amenable to shopping with me and has taken me to the loveliest little vintage shops. This time I’m going prepared…with a shopping list…for Zara!

This gorgeous Swedish home is decorated just enough for my taste. There are subtle and thoughtful touches everywhere but none of the typical, overwhelming cheese that seems to accompany most decor I see. First of all, the home is quite chic on its own and the seemingly effortless air has carried over into holiday decorations. Just lovely.

I love bangles. They can dress up a no-frills outfit or add intricacy to to layers. It’s a great way to mix old and new or high and low. Here is Caroline Trentini looking gorgeous in hers in the June 2009 Numero. Scroll down for DIY suggestions. PS: They make chic gifts for girlfriends!

Forever21 has tons of options (all under $15)

Dear Readers,
All three of you…I hope you have a fabulous Thanksgiving holiday. I wish everyone was able to take off most of the week like me. I know you’re jealous if you are not one of those people. I know I would be if I were you. However, even though you begrudge my time off, you cannot take it away from me. For that and for you, I am thankful.
I must tell you I will probably take a hiatus from posting as often as I like to in regular life in favor of drinking wine on someone’s couch mid-day while watching soapnet, forcing my brothers to listen to my music or “helping my mom cook” which also entails magazine reading and perusing her closet. Also, there will be plenty of time spent in the tub (see etsy).

While I’m away, do a few things for me.

And…if you’re interested in some of my favorite posts of late
Isabeli Fontana does tweed and it hurts so good here
I’m obsessed with Kim Noorda or did you already know, here
Laetitia Casta has the best hair I’ve ever seen here
Taylor Tomasi Hill’s style here
And Giovanna Battaglia inspires us all here

Love from the tub,
Payton

I have been looking for this photoshoot for forever! Sasha Pivovarova recreated her wedding for Vogue last June and I love the glamour of it. The close up of Sasha’s eyes peering over flowers is one of my favorites ever. I hope you enjoy as much as I did.

Here is a whole lot of inspiration from the super-cool street style blog Swagger 360. I have to go Rachel Zoe on you and say – I die.

As the weather cools, I’m really into gloves, particularly wrist length, vintage or otherwise. They are easily findable on ebay and a fashionable way to overcome the chills.
