Jewelry Porn: My dream come true

I must admit, I’ve been infatuated before. I’ve had a crush. I’ve daydreamed and night-dreamed and thought about it before. But..I think I’m head over heels about this one. I’m talking about jewelry people!

These are estate diamond stacking bands from the Paris Hotel Boutique! {this is glamorous} is giving this one away… I die.

Look at how gorgeous they are!

After further research, they are actually affordable. Official, full-on, jewelry lust. Feast your eyes here.

I don’t think this one is meant to be stacked but it honestly looks like a steal at $345. Also, it’s a princess ring which I totes identify with.

    I die

My friends and I  have always had a mild obsession with MK & A Olsen. “The unofficial biography of Mary Kate Olsen New episodes every Monday and Thursday”. These webisodes are so hilarious. Thanks to Elements of Style for introducing me! See more here.

Vintage Baubles & A Vehement Book Reco

Hello! I’ve been away at the beach as I mentioned here. It was lovely and I got a bit of a tan. But, it’s Monday and that means…back to work!

I discovered two noteworthy things while away.

    1. I started and finished the most lovely novel: Suite Francaise by Irene Nemirovsky. We are reading it for my book club and once I realized the context in which it was written, I was blown away and couldn’t get enough. Nemirovsky writes of the mass exodus from Paris when the Nazis invaded with clarity and poise which is particularly intoxicating because she was writing it as it happened. She was murdered at Auschwitz in 1942 and the novel remained unknown until 2006, when it was published. Go here for the NYT review.

    2. Some gorgeous vintage jewelry via Charleston Magazine.

I’m dying over this ring with the yellow topaz but can’t find it anywhere on the website of the jeweler, Joint Venture Jewelry. I did, however, find all of these gorgeous (and affordable) rings!

The magazine also featured Kwait Vintage Collection and I’m not sure what to do with myself!

I also found Croghan’s Jewel Box, Buckar and Skatell’s.

Hope you had a lovely weekend!

    Vintage Bridal Loveliness

OMG. Leave it to DailyCandy to introduce the most wonderful things. As I’ve told you before, I’m fascinated (and always have been) by all things bridal. This site feeds right into that. The vintage bride has affordable and beautiful dresses from 1960 and before. It’s worth a check out and here’s a peek!

    State Pride

Yesterday, Daily Candy gave a 30% coupon for Maya Brenner‘s jewelry. She has a lot of celeb fans and her stuff is not outrageously priced. Not to mention it’s really cute!

    The State of Things

I am partial to this one.

Don’t forget the 30% off found here.

    Favorite Bangle Combo

Thanks to all who have been thinking of Birdie. She’s not worse, so we’re taking that as a good sign.

I wanted to share my favorite bangle combo of the moment. I’m wearing them today and have been for the past few weeks. The three green/gold bracelets are from a street vendor in San Francisco (@ Haight & Ashbury – had to), the watch is BCBG, bought on sale at Dillards two Christmases ago.

The studded gold bangle is a recent purchase from my fave Charm&Chain and I think they compliment each other so nicely that I’ve been wearing nothing but gold for a week.

My bf got me this cutie fortune cookie necklace from Charm and Chain and I’ve worn it everyday since I got it, with my bangles…of course.

    Mirrors & Reflection

Mirrors reflect light and make rooms look bigger and better. I read an article on the Elle Decor site about Decorating with Mirrors. They really are the best things to use when you’re not sure what to put somewhere. Here are a few of my favorites:

Your local flea markets and garage sales often have mirrors just begging to be shined up and placed in your home. Ebay has a great selection of antique mirrors.

Remember, anyone can decorate with mirrors.
