Sometimes you can have too much of a good thing. I don’t believe that applies to art on the walls. When done right, a gallery wall can be spectacular. It can be done in any room, with or without a theme. It can cover a blank wall or a busy one, a small room or a large one…just make sure you’re happy when you walk in and don’t be afraid to take a few decorating chances.

I am lucky enough to have a vanity. It’s a very special piece of furniture that was given to me by a dear friend of the family. It’s the essential piece for a lady that loves to get ready. I’m house-hunting again. Robert and I are trying to find a place for June 1 and I’m getting antsy. I’m hoping for a big backyard, a front porch, a cozy kitchen and lots of closet space. I went to a very chic wedding event at Vs Mobley this weekend and fell head over heels in love with Matteo bedding. It is the most luxurious, lovely, simple, handmade, soft bedding ever. This stuff is going on our registry for sure.

She and her fiance moved into a new house and Apartment Therapy photographed it for our enjoyment. I like her style and decor choices, although they may not be exactly my taste, she has great ideas. I’m not a “fan” of Lauren Santo Domingo or LSD as she likes to refer to herself. I’m not sure why she’s so popular with the media or the fashion crowd. I do, however, have to give credit where credit is due and she does always look chic. Here is a glimpse inside her Manhattan apartment via Vogue. My favorite room is definitely the office/closet. I also love her hippo bar cart.

This gorgeous Swedish home is decorated just enough for my taste. There are subtle and thoughtful touches everywhere but none of the typical, overwhelming cheese that seems to accompany most decor I see. First of all, the home is quite chic on its own and the seemingly effortless air has carried over into holiday decorations. Just lovely.

Dear Readers,
All three of you…I hope you have a fabulous Thanksgiving holiday. I wish everyone was able to take off most of the week like me. I know you’re jealous if you are not one of those people. I know I would be if I were you. However, even though you begrudge my time off, you cannot take it away from me. For that and for you, I am thankful.
I must tell you I will probably take a hiatus from posting as often as I like to in regular life in favor of drinking wine on someone’s couch mid-day while watching soapnet, forcing my brothers to listen to my music or “helping my mom cook” which also entails magazine reading and perusing her closet. Also, there will be plenty of time spent in the tub (see etsy).
While I’m away, do a few things for me.
