Hey friends! I’ve been working on a NWAFW recap but wanted to share this lovely article written by the AR Democrat Gazette’s Helaine Williams.

Helaine was sitting close to me at the show on Thursday night and we struck up a conversation. She was sent up by the Little Rock paper to cover the event. We exchanged contact info an she called me last week to chat about the shows. She was kind enough to share the above photo she took that “didn’t make the final version” in the paper. It’s November. And it’s starting to feel like it. Layers save the day, per usual. I had a few meetings in Bentonville and borrowed Elysian‘s alley to capture my ootd. Later, I walked into a gas station and a lovely gentleman with a tear tattoo on his face asked me if I was from LA because I looked “trendy”.

It’s a beautiful time of year here in NW Arkansas. I will be the first to admit that I’m not a huge fan of cold weather. Layers stress me out. I’m already a bag lady – add coats, scarves, gloves, socks – it’s too much!

COLLABO! Emily’s One Man Band

a lovely little lady named Emily asked me to work it in front of the camera for her rather wildy successful etsy shop. obviously, I obliged. We had a great afternoon full of fringe, sequins, denim and flying through the air with the greatest of ease.

Some of her stuff is recycled and some is upcycled. The amazing leather fringe necklace and fabulous bustiers are Emily’s handiwork.

What to Wear {Bikes Blues & BBQ}

OK. I know you planned to go out of town and miss all the biker business. But that fell through, didn’t it? A large part of you wants to stay holed up in your house and avoid the countless bikes/bikers altogether. But, you’ve been saving those pleather leggings for a special occasion, so — if you can’t beat them, why not join them?

I met my husband at BBBQ in 2008; and who’s to say Mr. Right or Mr. Right Now isn’t waiting on the steps of the walton arts center to buy you a chili dog and sweep you off your feet?

To me, this look says, I could really be going anywhere…but I just happened to grace the folks at BBBQ with my presence.
