According to People, Brad is parting ways with Rachel! He’s my favorite part of the show so I hope he’s moving on to bigger and better things.

Today I woke up to mind-numbing allergies. They catch me by surprise every time! But, my weekend was lovely, hope yours was too.

Supposedly we are supposed to stash all things white from our wardrobes after Monday (save white button-downs or creams). While I agree there is no place for a full bright-white ensemble in 20-degree temperatures, I disagree that after Monday all whites should be shucked, packed and put away. I think my distaste for this “rule” comes from living in New Orleans for four years. There the weather can change on a dime and no one would mock you for wearing a chic white dress in mid-October if it were 75 and sunny (which it often is). While I am excited for Autumn, Summer is my favorite season and I plan to hang on to my white pieces a little longer…

It’s the beginning of another new week! Mondays almost always make me feel helpless, like I’ve got so much to do and haven’t accomplished as much as I expected. By Friday, this feeling fades into the very back and is replaced by excitement and whimsy.
This week, I really do have a lot to do to prepare for vacation (yay!!!!) starting Sunday. Emails to write, projects to wrap up, plans to make, packing to do. I hope your week is starting nicely.

Ready or not, Monday arrives every week. This week, I was not quite prepared. “One more day,” I seem to always plead with no one in particular. Thoughts of going back to bed and the beach (two weeks!) are filling my head but in the meantime, my to-do list must be attended to…Here’s hoping your weekend was wonderful and your week has gotten off to a great start.

Hi! First night in new place! So exciting! I felt like I was playing house because it felt so surreal to have a place all my own.

I live dangerously close to an Italian restaurant (2 doors down). I’m afraid I will be running over there constantly!

Everything is still in disarray but arranging and decorating is the fun part, right?

I’m very much looking forward to having friends over, hosting dinner parties and utilizing my bar cart!

I can’t wait to share photos with you…
