Dreaming of Outdoor Living
There’s nothing like pinterest to remind us all what we want and haven’t got. In the depths of January, despite our warmer than normal temperatures, I can’t get my mind off summer and pools and dream backyards with green grass. Typical. On Friday afternoons, my mind often wanders to what my plans would look like if it were May-August…

Isn’t monochrome the tops? I find it easiest to do with black or white but I love it no matter the color – especially brights. It’s sleek, slimming and oh-so-on-trend.

Coat Weather?
It’s the first day of fall and it definitely feels like it in our neck of the woods. The thing about Arkansas is the weather is consistently erratic. While it was 40 last night, it’s supposed to be 80s tomorrow. It’s very hard to dress for! Every year around this time, I have to look for inspiration on how to look chic in cooler weather. Happy (Birthday) Weekend
My birthday is Sunday. It’s a considerably more low key milestone this year in light of the HUGE event that’s happening in two weeks. I am in disbelief as I sit here writing “in two weeks”. I’ve been planning this wedding excitedly but also somewhere in the back of my mind thinking it would never come to fruition – sortof like my 16th & 21st birthdays or college graduation. And yet, it swiftly approaches and I’m starting to have freak outs about how many loved ones I get to see & celebrate with.
So, I’m hoping for a chill weekend. My almost-husband is taking me to dinner tonight. We’re going to the pool tomorrow and I’m sure I’ll throw in some thank-you note writing.
