What I Wore: Purple Peplum

IMG_4846what I wore: blazer – arpeja (seen here with matching skirt / I found the exact one on etsy here), cropped trousers – jcrew, heels – jessica simpson
I love this purple blazer with its giant shoulder pads. It’s not something you can wear all the time but once in a while it’s the perfect addition.

What I Wore: Paisley

what I wore: dress – willie’s influence thrifted from potter’s house, heels – jessica simpson, necklace – kate spade, watch – bcbg, bracelets – vintage, gifted & house of harlow, rings – forever21 & mae’s
This shoulder-padded, floral, paisley, draped, harem concoction was around $3. So, you know, I was all over that.

What I Wore: Among Hydrangeas

what I wore: vintage dianne ricco for nieman marcus (also seen here), cream blazer – unnamed vintage, heels – bcbg, lips – covergirl lip perfection in siren

I love this dress. It’s flattering, it can be casual or dressy and it’s work appropriate, but still a little sexy. It’s also happy – there are literally giant hydrangeas on the fabric. Don’t you love it when you find a dress that is versatile, fun and also you?

What I Wore: Purple Please

what I wore: dress – vintage hal ferman, heels – target, earrings – vintage via mae’s

Color always helps lift my mood and I love this dress for its loose butfeminine shape. Also, how fun are these target heels I got for $7?

What I Wore: Nostalgia

what I wore: dress – nostalgia, belt – vintage, heels – vince camuto, earrings – vintage from mae’s

This dress is so aptly branded. I didn’t realize the name of the brand until I took it off to record it for this post, but it is nostalgia. The reason it’s nostalgic to me is that this dress was purchased for me by my mother on a girls’ trip to Eureka Springs, she also bought the same dress for herself and we proceeded to gallivant around in these matching dresses for subsequent years. This was about 15 years ago. The dress is still relevant and we both still have ours! Isn’t that fun?

What I Wore: Purple Reign

what I wore: dress – vintage from cheap thrills, heels – jessica simpson via dillards, earrings – a gift, ring – an adolescent purchase in france

I fell hard for this sweet little dress. I have to tell you that I love the fact that it’s 100% polyester. It’s perfect for spring and washable/dryable!

What I Wore: Top Hat

what I wore: pants – asos, blouse – la blouse from potter’s house, purple blazer – vintage arpeja (seen here), heels – jeffrey cambell via solestruck, hat – cheap thrills, earrings – vintage from mae’s, makeup – mollie booth, photos – mallory berry

What I Wore: Blue & Green

what I wore: dress – vintage from cheap thrills, bolero – vintage from potter’s house, purple heels – quipid, earrings – gift from Ro (charm & chain)
Look! It’s another transitional maxi dress! This time it’s blue, green and purple – oh my! Seriously, I am taking my maxi obsession to a whole new level. When I saw this dress (it has a low back by the way – can’t wait to bust it out this summer) I knew it would work with both my teal bolero and my padded purple-people-eater blazer. I chose the teal and I loved the combo.
