Fall Colors

She makes it look so easy! I’m having some trouble transitioning from Summer to Autumn (as said here). I love boots and coats but am not ready for trousers! I’m also realizing my dress collection feels too summery to be worn with tights. But I’m inspired, nonetheless. I hope you are too. Still on the hunt for affordable over-the-knee boots.

New Obsession: Maje

All of these gorgeous clothes are quite out of my price range but I love the textures and structures. Feminine silhouettes with structured shoulders and small details…sigh.

Basic Black

As someone who loves clothes, getting dressed and all-things-fashion…I still find myself confused as the colder weather moves in. I want my look to say “Fall” but I have trouble putting that look together. I tend to gravitate towards layers of black until I get my winter sea-legs, and really throughout the chilly months. You can’t go wrong with black and you can infuse the same outfit, time after time, with colorful shoes, scarves and jewels.

After all my wishing for Fall, I got hit in the face with it this weekend. No heat. I waited until it was 59 in the house to turn it on and when I did, nothing happened. Frown. I guess I’m not ready for Winter yet. And yet it comes…

The Weekend Style & Memories

I love the weekend because I can dress however I want. I can stay in oversize pj pants, driving moccasins and hoodies or I can dash about in a cocktail dress (whether the occasion calls or not). This weekend, I plan to do a bit of both. Tonight: cocktail attire for a charity party; Tomorrow: pjs & mocs; Tomorrow Evening: I may have to bust out my leather leggings in honor of Bikes, Blues and Barbecue. They helped me snag my sweetheart two years ago this weekend, after all…

Work It, Girl

I must admit I’ve fallen victim to the oversized chambray or denim work shirt. I found mine at my favorite thrift shop (for those locally, the Samaritan Shop in Springdale, I should do a post on how many amazing things I’ve found there but I digress) and I kinda can’t wait for the weather to get chilly enough for me to rock it. I’m thinking it’ll be great with my skinny green cargos. Has anyone else been captivated by this trend?

Daisy: The Stack Ring Masters

CARA-black-small

British Jewelry brand Daisy is my new favorite discovery, both cool and affordable, it is worth checking out. My obsession with stacking rings continues (as seen here and here) with a vengeance. With Daisy, one can even design their own stacking ring. Music to my ears! Check out the Daisy Blog, Gallery and Online Shop. Be advised, their pricing is in pounds.

I’d like to mix these rings into a personalized stack!

The Search for Over-The-Knee Boots

So wanting these by MIA found on piperlime. They are so cute on the girl below (featured on piperlime’s website). At $299, they are a bit too expensive for me to take the plunge. I am now in the market for a knock-off of this boot. Please do share if you come across anything!

Say no to sweatpants.
