What I Wore: Weekender

what I wore: oversize t-shirt dress – absolutely beach (thrifted), wedge trainers – asos, necklace – vintage
The most comfortable outfit ever. I found this plus-size t-shirt at the thrift store and it’s just long enough to be a dress (if you take precautions!).

Denim + Black = Fall Uniform

what I wore: jeans – banana republic, t – hanes, heels – qupid, necklace/earrings/ring – vintage (mom’s)

What I Wore: Tunic/Cape/Sequins – oh my!

what I wore: pants (similar here)/bow ringforever21, heels – bcbgeneration (similar here), tunic – jaloux, ear cuff – icing

You can’t really tell in the photos but the tunic/cape is very sheer so I wasn’t as overheated as it looks.

The Best Skirt/Dress

what I wore (previously): skirt – esque, belt/blouse – vintage via cheap thrills, earrings – charm & chain, ring/bangle – mom’s, bangle – house of harlow, sandals – lovely people, necklaces – vintage via mae’s
There is a lovely local designer in NWA called Leslie Pennel, her line is esque. I was lucky enough to pick up the above (what I thought was a) skirt from her line at Cheap Thrills.

I loved it as a skirt and while I am typically good at seeing the many ways one item can be worn, it was lost on me. The designer was nice enough to enlighten me to it’s many uses, which I utilized at the beach. If nothing else, it’s a reminder that we can wear the things in our closets in so many different ways.

what I wore: dress – esque by leslie pennel via cheap thrills, belt – vintage, arm party – mae’s/vintage/dannijo

What I Wore: Nostalgia

what I wore: dress – nostalgia, belt – vintage, heels – vince camuto, earrings – vintage from mae’s

This dress is so aptly branded. I didn’t realize the name of the brand until I took it off to record it for this post, but it is nostalgia. The reason it’s nostalgic to me is that this dress was purchased for me by my mother on a girls’ trip to Eureka Springs, she also bought the same dress for herself and we proceeded to gallivant around in these matching dresses for subsequent years. This was about 15 years ago. The dress is still relevant and we both still have ours! Isn’t that fun?

What I Wore: Pinstripes & Peter Pan

what I wore: blouse – stephanie (thrifted), pants – cool collection, heels – gianni bini, watch – bcbg

I loved this little speckled blouse with the peter pan collar as soon as I spotted it at Potter’s House Thrift. At $2, it definitely came home with me!

What I Wore: White Eyelet

what I wore: dress – vintage laura ashley from cheap thrills, heels – go jane, earrings – vintage from mae’s, watch – bcbg, bangle – kate spade
I love this dress. It has such a lovely fit. It’s also see-thru so you can wear a white slip underneath or black for a cold weather look (seen here). I’m also looking forward to wearing it over a swimsuit this summer. Excuse my photo-op location!
