Jason Wu: Prim & Proper

Dear Jason Wu,

Can you become my personal designer? I would move to NYC or Hollywood or wherever you like. I would lose 30lbs and wear stilts for you! I know a little bit about styling? I could help you in some way? Maybe I could learn to sew and become your intern? If you would make me 1000 dresses just like the ones in your resort collection, I would do almost ANYTHING! I love the hourglass shape, the feminine collar, the fullish skirt… (excuse me while I drool).

How to dress: Blush

New color crush = Blush. It’s such a girly, pretty, demure color and in my opinion it works on ANY skin tone. I don’t own a dress in this hue but I really want to. Choices below.

Style Crush: Christine Centenera & Ivory Booties

Christine Centenera is the Fashion Editor for Harper’s Bazaar Australia. A crush-worthy occupation in and of itself, I was nonplussed yet un-surprised when I realized she is young, thin, hot & stylish.

Immediately, I hate her/like her immensely. Isn’t it just like us girls to begrudge and admire someone at the same time? What makes us that way? I digress.. Either way, girlfriend looks amazing and I have similar ivory booties (Gianni Bini minus the studs) which she reminded me to wear.

They are the ivory patent leather version of the below, mentioned here.

How to dress: Jessica Biel

Doesn’t it seem that once someone becomes a continual style-winner, all of their previous faux-pas are forgotten? Not everyone can be so lucky but Ms. Biel is a prime example. She has been looking better-than-ever lately! And the thing is, she has always had a gorgeous face, rockin’ body and pretty (usually) hair but she just hasn’t played it up right. She’s had a good look here, an average look there, etc. etc. Lately, the past is in the past and her stylist needs a raise. Another thing I love about her is she goes by my favorite rule & I think I made this up…

Boobs, Back or Legs. Pick one to show. Rarely show 2. Never show all 3.

CDFA Awards. Well done.

How to dress: Posh Girl Vintage

Posh Girl Vintage If I could buy my entire wardrobe from there, I would.  As it is, I’ve only splurged on one frock - but it was worth it.

Must share. Must share! These are the most gorgeous, stunning, lovely (expensive, slightly, but these dresses are works of art…honestly) drool-worthy dresses. I LOVE a good dress and wear them more often than not, especially in the summer. Please take some time to peruse the girly, frothy, voluptuousness of Posh Girl Vintage. I especially die over their wedding/party dress section!

How to dress: Music Festival

So Wakarusa is coming up in less than 10 days and we don’t even have our tent/sleeping bags/anything together. That will all come…I’m hoping, but most importantly, what does one wear to a music festival. The good thing about a hippy-dippy-trippy music fest is that it is exactly that! Free-flowing moo-moos + hat, sunglasses and piles of necklaces = totally acceptable. Here are some pics from last year.

It looks like I wore little dresses, headbands, sunglasses, flippy-floppies, earrings and my handy-dandy fanny-pack. I plan on utilizing what worked last year and incorporating a few affordable new things I will use all summer.

Diane Kruger & Dog dresses

Found out today via Garance Dore that Diane Kruger is her own stylist/make-up artist/hair-stylist… this only furthers my slight obsession with her and her style choices. She is just STUN.

PS: I have secretly been perusing dog dresses/swimsuits. Ridiculous, I know. But some of them are super fun. If you’re interested…here is the cutest little tutu. Not sure if Birdie needs one but she sure would look cute!

Somehow she got out of the fence today. R & I were freaking but some nice neighbor got her and her Aunt Lauren and Aunt Lindsay rescued the bad little puppy. Here she is with her sister, Georgie.
