What I Wore: Spotted

what I wore: blouse – thrifted {similar here}, pants {similar here} – paulnkc via maude, heels – bcbg, earrings – vintage via mae’s, sunnies – gas station {similar here}
Here’s a little peek at the teasing that’s involved for this giant-bun.

And the rest…

What I Wore: Color Code

what I wore: top/earrings – vintage, pants – old navy (old), heels – forever21

What I Wore: Bare Bones

what I wore: top – target, pants – paulnkc via maude boutique, heels – bakers, earrings – forever21, ear cuff – claire’s

While I’m definitely not a minimalist when it comes to dressing, sometimes less really is more. My favorite way to do “bare bones” is definitely in black.

What I Wore: Anchors Away

what I wore: trousers – ralph lauren, top – forever21, heels – nine west, earrings – forever21, ear cuffs – claire’s, necklace/necklace as bracelet/pinkie ring – vintage from mae’s

I’m always a fan of dressing on theme, even when there’s no occasion. I couldn’t resist wearing this newly acquired anchor tee with my favorite high waist navy trousers.

What I Wore: White Collar

what I wore: pants – paulnkc via maude boutique, top – banana republic, collar necklace – urban outfitters, heels – qupid
Hallelujah! I’ve been looking for pants like these for years. It’s difficult to find both high waist & wide leg in an affordable trouser. Maude Boutique in Fayetteville has done a great job with these and I can see myself wearing them way too often.

What I Wore: Friday Night in Black & White

what I wore: halter – vintage from grey dog, trousers – vintage tux pants from cheap thrills, earrings – vintage from mae’s, belt – target, platforms – bamboo, bracelet – express

On the weekends, I love to really play with what I wear and this was such a fun outfit. Pictured with my friend Leah, Ro and my mama.

What I Wore: Black Separates

what I wore: top – lna via shop lola, trousers – the limited, belt/watch – forever 21, cuff – express, ring – hemline, necklace – urban outfitters, heels – miss me

Whenever I wear separates (which is not often) they have to be good. I don’t think I’ve ever thrown on chinos and a top. Since I’m honed in on dresses most of the time, it takes a lot for a pant to speak to me. Last night I dug deep in to the recesses of my closet, where I keep the pants that don’t fit and found these gems. I don’t remember buying them but they’re a great length and I love the belt loops that are large enough for a giant belt. Paired with a tank I bought on sale at Shop Lola and a few accessories – it’s one of my favorite ‘separates’ look.

What I Wore: The Longest Legs

what I wore: trousers – asos, tank – old navy, jacket – bcbg, earrings – vintage via cheap thrills, platforms – FRH

I found these heels and knew they’d be perfect for the salmon colored ASOS trousers I’ve had for a year but haven’t worn. They are sooo long and I never actually get things hemmed (my love of heels stems from this laziness). I think they are the tallest I’ve ever worn, so I’m delightfully brimming on 5’9″.

What I Wore: Business As Usual

what I wore: trousers – ralph lauren via tj maxx (seen here, here & here), oxford – thrifted ralph lauren, heels – gianni bini, earrings – charm & chain
These sailor pants took no time to become my favorite trousers. They create a flattering silhouette and are dressy enough for work but they’re navy so they can also be dressed down with a more casual top.

What I Wore: Clown Pants

(what i wore: pants – riffraff via cheap thrills, flats – gap, shirt – walmart – jacket – tj maxx, scarf – forever21)

Some days you just feel like wearing something that could pass as pajamas but is still appropriate for work. Even someone who adores clothes and the process of dressing needs to take a break once and a while. I feel that everyone should have an outfit that is extremely comfortable but still chic. This is my attempt at such.
