Bridal Inspiration {Ties}

For our wedding, the guys are going to wear tuxes. Robert and I both love a classic tux. He wants to look as much like James Bond as possible…and I’m somehow totally ok with that. But, I can’t help perusing the ties and bowties that are out there and wondering if we shouldn’t customize it somehow. Maybe he could wear a solid black bowtie while the groomsmen wore a black bowtie with white polka dots? What do you guys think?

A sweet little piece of trivia about me: my grandma Susi was a fantastic seamstress. She would make a bowtie for my papa to go with every dress she had. Isn’t that lovely?

Click the ties for the source. I found an incredible website: The Tie Bar and they have a wealth of any sort of tie one might need. They are super affordable.

Fallen in love with a bed…

I went to a very chic wedding event at Vs Mobley this weekend and fell head over heels in love with Matteo bedding. It is the most luxurious, lovely, simple, handmade, soft bedding ever. This stuff is going on our registry for sure.

Bridal Inspiration {Shoes}

Duh. I found more shoes that I am obsessed with for brides. Unfortunately, I did not budget for $800 shoes. Hands down my favorite is the first pair. Click the pics to shop!

Bridal Inspiration {Mother of the Bride}

My mother and my future mother-in-law are very attractive ladies and at this early juncture, seem to love each other. They’ve been discussing together what to wear to our nuptials. They don’t want to dress alike but want to compliment each other. So many of the “mother of the bride” dress categories I see on sites like Dillards, Nordstorms and Macy’s are sooo not something that would make a MOB feel beautiful. I know that my mothers started dieting long before I did, so they will and they should look their best. And as an Southern girl knows, it’s their time to shine too. While I know they will unlikely be purchasing from Net-A-Porter, that site does such a lovely job of recommending styles that an actual beautiful mother of the bride would want to where. Therefore they are a good place to start for inspiration. A question I have for you, dear readers, can a MOB wear black?
