Rising Hemlines: Part 1

IMG_9734

I recently took a bunch of dresses to a sweet little seamstress to be shortened. I felt like a floozy asking to take all these hemlines up but it was so worth it. This shirt dress was mid-calf length; awkward with a belt, sack-like without. Shortening was just the trick! More to come.
PS: do you like these winter wedges? They’re pretty amazing if I don’t say so myself.

What I Want: High Tops

Ever since I saw Kate Bosworth wearing this I have wanted wedged sneakers. I’m not exactly in the financial place to splurge on Isabel Marant, so I’m weighing the other options. I’ve always loved wearing comfortable kicks but at under 5’3″ I don’t like to sacrifice the height. These would provide the perfect marriage of comfort and fashion! I found some fun options on ebay as well.

What I Wore: Florals

(what i wore: dress – thrifted, espadrilles – quipid, ring – vintage, earrings – a gift from my brother)
Hello friends. Yesterday I wore a floral frock that I think cost me $2 at a thrift store. It was light and comfortable and I actually had some bees chase me around outside. PS: I bought some “Not your mother’s” sea salt spray and I am addicted.
I got this little wallet at Forever 21 and I use it all the time. It’s perfect for an evening bag.

What I Wore: Oldies but Goodies

(What I Wore: top – old navy, skirt – dina bee/thrifted, cut-out wedges – nine west)
Yesterday I busted out some old stuff that I had never worn together. I thought it turned out nicely.  I’ll take any excuse to wear my Nine West cut-out white wedges, they’re like 5 years old! I hope you have a great weekend!
