Counting one’s blessings is always a healthy and humbling thing to do. This year I’m thankful for a handsome new husband, a healthy and expanded family, sweet friends, puppies, yummy food, free time and so much more. I always think of Thanksgiving as a passage into six weeks of holidays and it’s lovely to be on the front end.
A happy girl is a pretty girl, don’t you agree?

what i wore above: blazer – vintage from cheap thrills, button down – new york & co, chinos – banana republic, oxfords – forever21, lipstick – covergirl outlast longwear in everreddy
I always have a lot of fun dressing for gameday (especially if our team wins). Rather than wear a team t-shirt and jeans, I like to take the color (red) and run with it!

Happy (Birthday) Weekend

My birthday is Sunday. It’s a considerably more low key milestone this year in light of the HUGE event that’s happening in two weeks. I am in disbelief as I sit here writing “in two weeks”. I’ve been planning this wedding excitedly but also somewhere in the back of my mind thinking it would never come to fruition – sortof like my 16th & 21st birthdays or college graduation. And yet, it swiftly approaches and I’m starting to have freak outs about how many loved ones I get to see & celebrate with.

So, I’m hoping for a chill weekend. My almost-husband is taking me to dinner tonight. We’re going to the pool tomorrow and I’m sure I’ll throw in some thank-you note writing.

It was quite an eventful weekend. We got a cake sample for our wedding cake and it tasted as good as it looks. .
A new and exciting sponsorship opportunity from BeBop Clothing. I got some goodies in on Friday and couldn’t wait to try them on – more to come!
Karaoke with Ro, my brother Hampton & his brother William. I couldn’t stop myself from singing “Alone” by Heart but regretted it later…
Ro’s mom came up bearing gifts! Including the below four poster bed frame for our room & a dining table. I’m obsessed.
Some sweet friends threw a stock the bar party for us and it was incredibly lovely. Here’s a picture with my mom. (dress – vintage from the grey dog)

Spoils from the stock the bar. Planning this wedding has certainly shown me how many people love us. I feel very special.
